"I did not enter nursing to manage the existing system. I entered it to understand exactly what needs to change — and to be the one who changes it."

Elvis Kidagisa grew up with a deep conviction that healthcare in Africa deserved better — not as a charitable cause, but as a right. When he enrolled at Maseno School of Nursing in Kisumu, Kenya, he encountered firsthand the structural gaps long dismissed as "normal": disorganised clinical placements, absent mental health support, zero digital infrastructure, and governance structures that treated students as subjects rather than stakeholders.

Rather than accept these as permanent fixtures, Elvis chose action. He ran for student representation, won the trust of his peers, and immediately set about building solutions. ClinPlacer, co-founded in 2024, was the first proof-of-concept: a digital platform transforming how nursing students across Kenya access and manage clinical placements, fully compliant with the Nursing Council of Kenya.

His vision extends far beyond Maseno and Kenya — toward a Pan-African movement of youth-led healthcare transformation rooted in digital infrastructure, institutional accountability, and the radical belief that the next generation of African nurses should be the best-trained, best-supported, and most technologically equipped on earth.

Evidence Over Rhetoric

Every policy position grounded in data, lived experience, and structural analysis — not political convenience.

Build, Don't Just Advocate

Advocacy matters — but so does execution. ClinPlacer exists because Elvis chose to build the solution himself.

Students First, Always

Every decision evaluated against one question: does this make life better for a nursing student at Maseno?

Africa-Rooted Thinking

Solutions designed for Africa's context — bandwidth constraints, regulatory environments, cultural realities.
